Vertex
Open-source React Native / Expo starter for banking and fintech apps, with a reactive Zustand state layer and a reusable UI component library.
Overview
Vertex is a production-ready starter for banking and fintech apps built on Expo. It ships with a reactive Zustand state layer and a reusable UI component library, so you can wire up real screens instead of re-building infrastructure from scratch.
Why Vertex
- Reactive state layer powered by Zustand: predictable, minimal-boilerplate stores instead of prop drilling or Context soup.
- Reusable UI component library: buttons, cards, inputs and sheets built once and shared across every screen.
- Reanimated-driven interactions: transitions and gestures that run on the native thread and stay smooth at 60fps.
- Skia for custom graphics: draw charts and financial visuals that a stock <Image> can't do.
- Expo Router for navigation: file-based, typed routes with nested layouts out of the box.
- Strict TypeScript throughout: state, components and navigation are all fully typed.
Tech stack
Every dependency earns its place:
- Expo: managed workflow with a fast path to TestFlight and Play builds.
- Expo Router: file-based, typed navigation with nested layouts.
- TypeScript: strict typing across state, components and screens.
- Zustand: lightweight, reactive global state without Redux ceremony.
- Reanimated: native-thread gesture and transition animations.
- Skia: custom-drawn charts and graphics for financial data.
